Who am I?

I am a 20-something year old convert to the Catholic Church, as of Easter 2012, from the Protestant faith. Read how that came to be here. I am a brand new nurse in Minnesota spending the next year volunteering. I want to make a difference in the lives of people who need it most, the sick and vulnerable. I have a passion for children. They are so innocent and honest. Of all the things I lost from childhood, it’s that honesty and innocence that I miss the most. Big cities are some of my favorite things. There’s just something about being a part of a large crowd among tall, shiny buildings that makes me happy. But I also love spending time in nature among God’s most beautiful creation, just me and Him. Hershey kisses and Josh Groban are my 2 biggest weaknesses.

My goal with this blog is to share my passions and events in my life and to figure out God’s purpose for it all.  I want to share the Lord’s glory with the world. And when necessary, I will use this blog to defend my new found Catholic faith. I hope by doing this I can give people who are searching just the nudge they need to see God’s plan for them and to help them take the first step to joining God’s united church. All for the glory of His kingdom.

Feel free to email me with any questions or comments. I would love your feedback!

  1. Dear Friend,
I am so excited for you that I could burst!!! I absolutely love people who come into the Catholic Church (catechumens and candidates) at Easter Vigil!!! Please check out our website to Saint Gianna Beretta Molla, especially the “testimonies” and “thank you’s”. I typed or copied/pasted each one of the 500 entries!!! May our Lord richly bless you. I can’t stop the tears. Your brother in Christ, Joe Cunningham, Founder and President Emeritus, The Society of Saint Gianna Beretta Molla, Philadelphia, PA http://www.saintgianna.org. 4/5/12

  2. Vivien,
Congratulations on where you are right now as you continue your journey to Christ. Keep your prayer life strong through daily prayer an allow yourself room to at times stumble. I say that because we all do so don’t beat yourself up when you do; instead surrender your feelings, concerns, and hopes to Christ our Lord and leave them with Him. He will show you the way, just let it be on His schedule.

    In His Service,

    Leone’ Paul

  3. Hello there! I was intrigued by your blog name………St. Gianna is one of the saints I have a devotion to, especially since she was a doctor. I’m an RN, wife and mom trying to live an authentic, faithful Catholic life. So glad to see that you’re a nursing student. Have you heard of St. Camillus de Lellis? He’s the patron saint of nurses and someone I commit my practice and my business to. I’d like to invite you to drop by my blog sometime.

    • I haven’t heard of him, but I think I will go look him up now. And I would love to drop by your blog sometime! Thanks for stopping in and reading mine!
