I have another Reece’s Rainbow story to share! In 2010 a family brought home a little girl from Ukraine. They later learned about Ava, who had been their daughter’s roommate, cribmate actually. They showed their little girl a picture of Ava and she recognized her. Now, they are determined to bring little Ava home so that these two young girls, who had grown so close, can be reunited and grow up as sisters. But they need help, all the help they can get. It hasn’t even been two years since their last adoption, so funding is tight for them. Please read about their story, share it with others around you, donate if you can, and above all send them your prayers! Peace and blessings!
I’m not sure if I’ve ever mentioned this here before, but months ago, the young man who runs the website Why I’m Catholic, asked me if I would be willing to share my story for the site. After some prayer and writing, I said yes and submitted my story in January. Today, my story has finally been posted! It’s a bit more detailed than the one on the blog. Check it out if you have time and if you know anyone who is trying to decide about the Catholic Church, feel free to share it with them! I pray that my story will help someone make the amazing, though not always easy, decision to join Christ’s Church. Peace and blessings!
I have found another angel that stole my heart. There’s not much info about this angel named Nico, but it was love at first sight. He has Down syndrome and is 2 years old. Please share him with people you know in whatever way you can. Let’s help him find a home!
I see this argument all the time. People compare the banning of same-sex marriage to the banning of interracial marriages. The latter has been reversed, so logically the former should be as well.
While at first glance, that seems to be a valid argument, upon further thought, it’s not a fair comparison. Briefly, here’s why.
Sexual relations between a Black man and white woman are essentially the same as between a white man and white woman. Both have the potential to produce offspring, which is really the whole point. However, sexual relations between a man and woman are not the same as between a man and man or a woman and woman. The former can naturally produce offspring, the latter can not. So really, this argument is kind of like comparing apples and oranges. And that is all I have to say, for now. Peace and Blessings!
I was checking in at Reece’s Rainbow to see how Laurel was doing and I discovered that a family has decided to adopt her! I am so excited for her as she only had a few months left being eligible for adoption. I had been praying for her a lot and after reading the family’s story I found out that I wasn’t the only one writing about and praying for her. God is so good! Now I’ll have to pick another child to focus on. I’ll let you know as soon someone steals my heart!
Peace and blessings!
