It sounds like an enjoyable program. If you really feel like the Lord is calling you to do this then go for it. Just keep praying, read the bible and continue to visit Him in mass. I always felt that doing the three things I mentioned above always helped me in my relationship with Him.

St. Gianna discerned about joining her brother as a medical misisonary in Brazil so it’s not surprising that you who model yourself after her would be thinking about it too. There are so many options open to nurses these days. As a veteran RN, may I offer a bit of advice…..leave your career/nursing aspirations in the hands of St. Camillus de Lellis and St. Gianna. Listen with your heart, discern thoughtfully with the help of an adviser or spiritual director and the Lord will use your nursing skills where He wants. God bless. The world needs good faithful nurses.

Hey sweet friend I know God is pleased and proud of you. The Evil One definitely uses discouragement as one of his weapons, so keep that in mind. It’s probably his voice whispering to you trying to put you down. But he’s pretty weak next to God’s great power and love. All is well.

I think I’m going to give up coffee, chocolate and facebook again this year… but I think I need to add in a bad habit, too! I tend to nag my husband a lot about doing chores around our apartment and need to stop since I always end up confessing it every single time. I think if I give it up for Lent, I’ll have a more conscious resolve and try to be more aware of when I may be slipping into unkindness when I want to ask for help.
